This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I just checked the schedule and it doesn't look like Oshkosh is a destination for VWoC this year. However, VWoC will be taking four aircraft to Geneseo; Mustang, Hurricane, Staggerwing and the Fox Moth.

Michael Potter was reading this thread last week, and thought the Corsair was going to Oshkosh. When I saw him in the hangar in Gatineau during the arrival of the Lysander he confirmed the Corsair would be going to Oshkosh.

Here's a few pictures of the Lysander taken in September 2005 at Harry's farm.

My hat goes off to Mike Potter and his ever growing collection. It is always a great joy to see his aircraft at Geneseo and I hope they keep coming for years to come. I can't wait to see a few more head to the show in the next few years.

With all the recent news coming out of VWoC, I am wondering when there will be a multi-engine bomber taking residence in the hangar? It certainly seems that the single engine aircraft are well represented now...

Regardless, I think it is an amazing collection that has some great leadership caring for it. I look at the website and the press releases that come out and can't help but think how this is a shining example of "how it should be done"!

Thank you to everyone at VWoC for doing it right the first time around!

Ryan,

I spent the weekend with Tim Leslie and I commented a few times to him about how professional they are in briefings and the way they operate the aircraft. I have had the honor of flying with them a few times and I have never flown with a more thorough bunch of pilots. As for larger multi-engine aircraft there are no plans in the future for various reasons as that was discussed.

Tim Leslie just read this thread, and asked me to add the following in regards to the Corsair...
"On Tuesday 24 July, the VWoC Corsair will be featured in the "Warbirds in Review" seminar/talk at the air show. This consists of the aircraft being towed into an outdoor theatre/stand with bleacher stands around. The pilot, owner and hopefully a vet that flew it then talk about the marque and answer questions. There could possibly be another Corsair that time as well."
