if that is an example of how this diemert person "restored" it I certainly am not interested in being a passenger in any aircraft he worked on. looks definately unrestored from what I can see.

A little clarification if I may. Diemert "restored" the Val, not the Judy! The Judy remains as discovered.

If I'm not mistaken, the Judy was one of several aircraft recovered by Bruce Fenstermacher from the South Pacific in 1991 along with the Betty wreck currently displayed at Chino with POF and was with the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica.

Correct. He brought back from Babo :

- 1 A6M3 now flying
- 1 G4M1 Betty displayed as found
- 1 D4Y1 Judy displayed as found
- 1 KI-61 Tony whereabouts unknown
