Rob: We've always used sail maker's needles. For the L-5's we just use a standard 12" and a 4" curved with an added spiral to it so it's more like a corkscrew.

rohr there is a guy on ebay that sells all kinds of manuals on cd for a/c from sheet metal repair to electronics.

Talk to Jeff W. He recovered all his antiques himself. He might have the manuals your looking for or can at least send you in the right direction.
