AVG chit

That 'chit' was probably made last week in Mexico.
That seller has been on eBay for years. He has
probably sold more hand painted AVG squadron
emblems and chits that were made in China for
the Tigers when they were there.

You will notice that he keeps the bidders ID "private".
This is because in the past people would email the
bidders warning them the stuff was fake. There has
been periodic discussion of this sort of thing over on
the Flying Tigers board.

That said, if you want something to frame up with a
print like a First, Second, or Third Squadron leather
patch this stuff is fine. The chit would probably look
pretty good on the wall by itself. Just don't pay a
lot for it.

I've got a very good book called "Last Hope, The Blood Chit Story" that was put out by one of our NCC AAHS members some years ago. Authored by R.E.Baldwin and Thomas Wm. McGarry and published by Schiffer Military History, I highly recommend this book if your interested in them. It covers such items from WWII and also related evasion paraphernalia, and it's loaded with high quality color pictures.

While I couldn't find this particular design in the book (none of them showed anything but the Chinese flag), these were printed or embroidered on cloth, not hand painted.
