Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

I've been drooling over the Canon 100-400 L for a year or more, and can't find one for less than about $1,300 (counting rebates) plus shipping and/or tax.
Were you able to find a better deal, or is $1,300 about the best street price available?
Nope, that was the best I could find it for.
