A quick check over at imdb the film "Gas-s-s-s" is not even available on VHS, but perhaps this is a good thing. The film was directed by Roger Corman who has the dubious distinction of having had more of his films on Mystery Science Theater 3000 than anyone else.

Interesting, there was a large aircraft scrap heap in Wendover for years and would have been here during 1969-1971 era. I am wondering if the plane used in that movie was actually here. Hummm. :?

Mike,

One of the current airport employees grew up in Wendover and played on P-47s and B-24s in his youth - that would have been mid 1970's. I'll ask if he has any photos - I have also spoken to a gentleman who was stationed here during 1958 and he also confirmed a "aircraft dump" but that was almost 20 years prior.

I can add a bit more to the scrapyard sequence; the other planes are mostly cut-up tails of F3H-2 Demons (one marked VF-13, last three digits of BuNo are 245; another is either 133490 or 143490 with tail code "AH") along with some large round natural metal fuselage sections (B-29?). Any ideas?

Hi again,
I don't have photos; I've just been studying the video frame by frame. The movie seems to have been shot in Texas and Arizona (Sedona and Acoma Pueblo). Maybe the planes came from Litchfield Park? I wish I had a way to make stills from the video, but I'm not that computer savvy...

sorry about no follow up - I don't seem to be getting any notices on this thread - ANYWAY - to confirm, no, there are no pieces parts left here in Wendover - especially no Panther parts :(

The only thing here at the moment are a few JB-2 hulks the museum is slowly working on.
