Man I can't wait to see her in person!

Love those last two pics SAF. If we didn't know better, one would think those were taken back in 1945. The graininess of them adds to that "old" feel and makes them perfect for confusing people as to when the pictures were taken.
Great job Gary and gang for getting Ol'927 flying again. Can't wait to see here in person.

Gary, that self portrait from "the sling" says it all. That smile on your face was priceless! On those pics from Jim and Scott, I promise you, they look like they were taken in a time warp from 67 years ago....... just absolutely AWESOME! Scott, did you get a DIGI camera??? Great work guys and girls, makes Steph, Butch, and I honored to have contributed an extremely small part in her makeover.... Alan

CAP Flyer,
Thanks, how about this:
Alan, I used my crappy film camera as I was too dull to figure out Lyn Fite's digital unit! Hence, the grainy texture!!

Gary
She's a whole another animal now.
Hey I gotta question. How come no belly gun in any of the pictures? I don't see a .50 cal barrel hang'n out the bottom of the plane. Or am I just missing it?

Hi Gary,
Finally not another silver 1944 marking B-24. But an actual pre-war/into war early model B-24!

Thank you Gary and the gang for restoring her. I am a pre-war guy and love authentics markings and paint job like this. GREAT WORK!!
Question: What were the colors used? A interested modeler wants to know.
Thanks again and she looks great.

Even better...
Sometimes not having the newest and greatest is better for the shots you're taking.

I think I need a cigarette now...
We won't be able to make it to Selfridge, but we'll definately be at the Indy Air Show next month. Will AM927 be flying, or just on static display?

Gary,
Congratulations on the effort. Just hope our PBY project goes as well. The computer demon wont let me see her but I guess it shall be all over the magazines soon and I know it shall be a credit to you and all the others who put in such a mammoth effort.

I was getting ready to go to work on Monday when it dawned on me that a little piece of history went along on Saturday when Ol'927 broke ground. The bomb release handle from Gidi Gidi Boom Boom flew for the first time since she was shot down on 24 June, 1944, and it made me think about all the kids who have fought to keep us free.
Thank a vet when you see one!
Scott
