Lynn, I would love to see some of your Storch photos, my email is: aze@qtm.net. Thanks

Juke, I have the HBO movie "Conspiracy" I had heard that a German based Storch was painted in washable paint for this sequence, do you know wich Storch was it? i have emailable video files of these two Storch landing sequences if anybody wants to see them, 2 and 3 MB files.
Does anybody have Storch flying footage from movies or airshows?

Oscar

There is a French comedy movie, title is "La Grande Vadrouille" (sp?) with Terry Thomas, and a French comedian that I call "Bovril" because I cannot remember his name.

There is a flying scene involving a Storch if I am not mistaken, very likely an MS Cricquet. I will have to find the movie and watch it, since the last time I did, was probably 30 years ago.

Saludos,

Tulio

That is what I was curious about; so Heyrich did not have special nazi markings on his plane !

Does anyone know more about the MS 500 (Fi 156C-3 ) HB-??? from the list of preserved axis aircraft (link in first reply) which is resident with the vormezeele collection in Belgium. At Vormezeeles webpage, I could only find info about the MS505 which Vormezeele recently sold to a new owner in Germany. But I don't have a clue which MS500 or Friesler Storch he has now. :?

Any clues?

Greets,

J.V.

Wasn't this filmed in Germany? Isn't it illegal to have those markings on anything there? Probably why it was water soluble paint. :)

Tulio,

You are correct  - the movie is "La Grande Vadrouille" with Bourvil and Louis de Funès. I believe it's a MS.500 :

Film was made by HBO and BBC so they got a special clearance..on underside it has got crosses !

Finnish Air Force had in fact swastikas as national insignia during 1918-1944. I know SS leader Reinhard Heydrich was not a finn !
