I was also thinking of the CAF P-40 that belly landed last year. How is it's rebuild coming along?

Gerry Beck and the crew up at Tri-State are making huge progress on the CAF C model Mustang, "Tuskegee Airmen". These guys got 'er down to a science! I go up there every couple weeks to help out and am in constant amazment at the progress between each trip! Look for an upcoming series of articles in Warbird Digest covering the rebuild of this Mustang. Thanks again to Tim Savage and the crew at WD for supporting our efforts to get this piece of history back in the air!

Am I losing sense of time and space or didn't the CAF P-51C Tuskeegee Mustang crash fatally not long ago??? Another one or rebuild the rebuild?

Can anyome update us on the TFC P-51B/C after their open evening the other week. My guess is not much visible progress but a lot going on in the background.

No update as such but having been shown over the project at the beginning of the year all I can say is that the quality of work carried out on the aircraft is nothing short of stunning.

In a way, however it would be a bigger crime not to fly it after all the work that has gone into it. It's up there condition wise with a certain othe UK based P51D which gets regular use... Just have to see now if this standard can be improved on in the UK with regard to Mustang restorations????
