i just watched the nbc nightly news coverage of the shuttle endeavor's 1st launch in 5 years. it was like a death watch, waiting for it to vaporize in mid air. poorly handled coverage!!! it's like they were saying rats.... no explosion & catastrophy to boost those ratings. now back to the news.... it totally sucks!! :badpc:

CBS did a quick cutaway to show the launch live during the evening news, then went on with several minutes about Barry "The Injector" Bonds. Before they went back to regualar coverage, Katie Couric did mention "now this is the point where Challenger blew up..." Like "Hey, we made it past 73 seconds, so it's not news anymore."

Steve (who works in radio news and is just as disgusted by the Corporate Media as you guys.)

Katie was also thinking "Da##it, it didn't blow, we could have blamed it on Bush, Republicans, and evil conservatives!"

I watched it on NASA TV...no blabbering know nothing talking head to ruin it...Now if the NASA info guy would shut up and just have the radio calls it would be that much better....

Love to watch that thing!

Enjoy it while you can. Not to many missions remaining for the Shuttle. Atlantis has only two more flights before she's retired...
