Thanks John! I have noticed the L-39 have 6 digit serials. Is it a military serial number or the manufacturer's construction number? Or is there no distinction, the c/n is the s/n. I have not found anything explaining Russian and Soviet serials.

It's an aircraft of the 'Hoppers Flight' - at least one WIXer is also a Hopper, I'll leave it to him to give the SP on the a/c.

This L-39 belongs to Tim "Dawg" Brutsche, of Hopper Flight. Tim's out of Battle Creek, Michigan.

PS Look for the Hoppers the evening of Dec. 15th on the National Geographic Channel in a one hour special on jet warbirds.

Not me old boy, I don't meet the height requirement.
BTW, in the first photo the two ship is Dan "Hack" Sullivan from Anoka, MN in lead with Brutsche on wing. Other Hoppers are Paul "Grasshopper" Wood and Dave "Mildred" Mills. Our IP is Steve "Puck" Kirik, a former Eagle Driver and 1000+ hr. T-38 instructor.
