Griffon 74??

More like a 57A/58.

Sat Aug 11, 2007 7:56 pm

19. A Kinner engine???

#1, LeBlond? The interesting thing about it is that it has a one-bladed Everal (sp?) prop

#3 is an 80 HP LeRhone, the 110 has the copper intake pipes in the back. Notice the single push-pull rod for the valve actuation.

#6 Jacobs

#7 165 Warner

#9 OX-5

#19 Wright R-760

#20 Salmson, 40HP?

23 is a lycoming for sure (pushrods on top) probably an 0-320

1 Ken-Royce is LaBlonde

I don't know why I put the wrong # for the OX-5 earlier - # 9 not 5

25) J58

The rest are Round ones, V-ones, Opposed Ones, Inline Ones, Inverted V Ones, a few Burning ones, and a strange one or two. :)

Rearwin bought LeBlond in 1938, and started naming the engines Ken-Royce, after his sons, but pre-1938, which is most of them, they were just LeBlonds. With the open rockers that engine is probably an earlier version (didn't the later ones have covers over the valve/spring?).

Let me be the first to take a deflection shot. Number 16 is not an Argus AS-10 as in a Storch. The Storch engine is an inverted V-8, not what is shown. Don't know what it is but what it isn't.
