Ol' 927's there, but this could be the last year of the show.

Read about it here. It's about 45 minutes south of us. I've got family in town, and wasn't going to make the trek...but after reading this, the boys and I are going.

That'd be too bad if they were forced to quit! What B-26 are they talking about that is 10 years into restoration???? Is it an Invader or Marauder?

We took our Lodestar in there a few years back and had a great time. It was a heavy metak year and the Lodestar was among the smallest. They had the CAF B-17 and He-111, the Ju-52, a Tracker, a B-25 and a host of other stuff. The crowd was good and friendly. Belonging to an outfit that is seeing its share of hard times right now I know and feel what they are going thru. Good Luck guys, hope you have a great show and even better gate.
Their B-26 is an Invader that has come a long way since I saw it based on the photos on their website.
Don't let the bastards get ya down, fight the good fight,
Bob

I was there today with my kids and a buddy of mine. Could not ask for better weather. Would hate for this to be the last year. Looked like there was a pretty good crowd there today. Here's a few pic's my son took with a little dig camera.

B-26 is correct. Just depends on your point of reference. :)

The Mig-17, P-51 & A-10 really beat up the field good yesterday. Only problem was that when the Mig was flying I was still inline with my little girl getting french fries. Also there was good fly by's of the KC-135 & B-2.
There was a bit more area opened up for viewing which was great for picture taking, I'll post some of mine in the next few days.

I was there Friday and Saturday with my OY-1. Great Show & Great People. I had a lot of fun flying in the show. Unfortunately, I had to bug out Saturday night because of the forecasted weather on Sunday back here in Detroit.

1) A-26 during WW2
2) B-26 Post WW2 including Korea because the USAF was not in the attack business but bombing
3) A-26 because the USAF was not allowed to base bombers in some Southeast Asia countries

Looks like a great show. Where was the A-10 from?

They were from Davis-Monthan AFB. They are the West Coast Demo Team.

Thanks for your concern and your support, guys. After the success of this weekend, I really don't feel we have to worry about shutting down. From what I've heard, we had a record crowd both days. Our PX sold about 90% of it's merchandise, which is something we have NEVER done before.
The weather was terrific, the flying was awesome and the crowds seemed genuinely happy. We'll be back next year!!

I drove down from Michigan for the show and thought it was well worth it. I'll have some photos soon, video too.
