The one fished out of the ocean in Italy is in remarkable shape! Was there a thread that tells the story on this one? Who was it serving with when it went down?

Thanks!

Great pix folks! I confess that the P-40 isn't my all-time fave, but probably the first warbird I ever saw. Anyway, I am curious if anyone has anything for P-40E s/n 40-421 OR for the 355th FG while using the P-40E at Orlando AAF AAFSAT during late 1942 or early 1943? Much appreciated.
