This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Well darn......

Sat Sep 15, 2007 10:57 pm

.....how can I leave with all this support? I can't tell you the feelings that are inside me right now. But it's the greatest feeling I have ever had. Please I hope you all understand how I feel though. I come to WIX in hope that I meet people with the same interest. As I see it there should never be a need to bicker or insult anyone here. After all arn't we all on the same team?

I am a enthusiast...no is never an option to me. There is always a will and a way to do something. The great men of WWII taught me that. To never give up. I guess sometimes though that is hard to see through.

Anyway...I have reconsidered staying but may sit on the side lines for a while. I've cooled down some but I was very close to leaving. I just hope WIX can get back on track and people stick to talking about warbirds without insults.

I promise when I do post that it will be nothing but the most friendliest, respectful, meaningful post that there ever was. Full with enthusiasm too! :D

Again, thank you to all from the bottom of my heart. I cannot bring what I feel to terms but all I can say is that I will stick to my guns and stick around. Never say die!

Cheers,
Nathan

P.S. the very humble. :(

I'm glad you've reconsidered. I hope nobody screws things up for you, or anyone else for that matter.

I'm tired of the bickering.

Cheers,

Hey Nathan,

Not sure what happened as I do not follow any negative posts to much but I’m glad your staying. Stay positive and keep posting.

Glad you decided to stay! We need you and all others passionate about these subjects to stay here. Believe it or not  , we are a tiny speck on the world landscape. We gotta stick together: warbird owners and drivers, wrench-turners, model builders, photo collectors and photographers, enthusiasts who just love to see them overhead, and yes, even the occasional artist! 8)

A long time ago, on another site totally unrelated to warbirds, I was "offended" myself, and was so mad that I went back and deleted all my old posts too, as recently happened here! I was mad mainly because there was no way, on that forum, to delete my membership ... all I could do was "delete" my posts.

Relative to the Internet, I've "grown" since then, and realized what a childish thing it was that I did, actually. If you've never been offended enough to "leave" a forum, then you haven't posted very much on the Internet, my friend! Join the club - and relax - life's too short to take things that personally from people you've never even met, in most cases!

Cheers!
Wade

PS: If you want to see the fur fly - become an artist and join an ART forum. Heh heh - WIX ain't got nuthin' on the cat fights on some of those forums. Other than a really classy Aviation Art forum (eHangar.com), I stay COMPLETELY away from the 'art' discussion groups!  8)
