The close-up of the Halifax took 20 seconds, so don't be scared of taking your time. Sorry to disagree with you on this Rob, but as someone who is photographically challenged and has a hard enough job working a bog standard digital camera and coping with decisions like will I use the flash or not, your photographs are great and due to a skill you have that not everyone can master to the same effect.
Thanks to you and some of the other great photographers that share their pics and knowledge we photographically challenged folk (I'm sure I'm not the only one) get the opportunity to not only view some great pics but also learn a bit more about how to improve on our own humble attempts.
Credit where credit is due............oh and the colours look fine to me.
