Thanks Tom. We really do have a bunch of good folks here. I am just very alarmed at how some of our friends are getting a little soft when the SOB's get after them. If they are getting to you then give it right back. Don't never let them get the upper hand. I have said before, the older I get, the less I let BS get to me. Also if I am out of line, I hope someone will bring it to my attention. We all have our times of crainal rectum syndromn, lets just try not to let it spread.

The descision to leave is a personal one and a difficult one to make. I've been in the same situation before and it sucks. I've been doing this long enough to know that arguments and complaining are a part of every forum. You can't avoid it. I do my best to minimize it but until I win the lottery and can devote full time to the site it will be problematic at best.
However, I like to think this is one of the best forums out there, at least the best one in the western hemisphere

Nathan, sad to see you go. But your always welcome back and I'm sure that given some time you'll miss us. Feel free to lurk if you want too.

I can't understand why 99% of this forum would care if anyone leaves. My opinion is if you are going GO.
If you don't have the capactity for some views which counter yours who cares but you.
A good forum is like that it gets opinions out and hashed over. Why cry all over the board. Are you in need of simpathy, do you need your little hand held ? Do you need to gather your troops around you ??
Deleting past posts I think shows the child-like thinking of an immature mind.

I can't believe how many times people post "I'm Leaving WIX!" when they get upset and make a big ordeal of situations that aren't that big of a deal. This is about the 4th time I've seen it in the couple of years I've been visiting.

First off, if you don't like what's being said here...then don't read that thread or WIX in general.

Second, if you no longer want to participate in WIX because of what's being posted or discussed here, then JUST LEAVE. No need to have some big drama-queen post telling everyone WHY you're leaving in protest. It serves no purpose than to make people sound very vain and/or self important.

WIX is a great resource. Like any other internet community, there are going to be spats, flame wars, etc. What each member needs to do is have some thick skin and not be so sensitive to what everyone else says. This is an INFORMATION EXCHANGE. Give a little, take a little. Oh, and along the way have the opportunity to meet some like-minded people that you don't necessarily have to be best friends with.

It's amazing how many people I've met because of WIX...and every single one of them to a T has been absolutely fantastic. Steve T and Airic made sure I had a great time up at the CWH a couple years ago. Mike and Robbo met me at Duxford last year and gave me the grandest tour I can think of. I hope one day to return the favor to other WIXers, too.

Randy, you're doing plenty for us now. If you ever get out SoCal way, let us know. I know the SoCal Wing would welcome you.

Hey guys, I've seen this happen before... On other aviation forums, CAF wings, and fly-in community home owners assciations. The common thread is the fact that there are many differing views and some very strong personalities involved. If there is a small percentage who cause the problem, don't let them run off good people. We definitely don't need to tolerate personal attacks, on the other hand if there is just a difference of opinion, don't get your feelings hurt. I don't read all the posts, I have not paid much attention to the personalities on the forum here so I'm not pointing fingers, but I can see a lot of personality conflicts. I believe we should enforce a code of conduct. If there is a poster who obviously dosen't offer anything of value, and is just here to insult or inflame others, warn that poster, if it persists, vote him off the island. I believe this should only be initiated by an impartial party. I don't mean to create work for Scott and the webmasters but maybe someone could come up with some ideas to police it.
This is a fantastic forum, don't let it go down the tubes by tolerating the flamers.
