I think Warhawk in Nampa has the C model P-51 very nearly complete; Isn't Wareagle in Ep Paso area-- west somewhat?

Oh yeah, she's there. Saw her in person a month or so ago. Pretty neat seeing a Hellcat and a Zero sitting together in the same hangar (museum) way up here in the "Northwoods".

:D

Nerd, didn't we end up at six for a final count? ....and they're all inside a 40 mile radius.

The Hellcat is away from the Fargo Museum temporarily. It left a few weeks ago to get new paint, (British markings), but will return for the balance of the winter when the job is done.

BTW Dennis, exactly how did you decide Fargo is part of the "North Woods"? Did North Dakota Have "The Tree" when you were up there? Every time I go it must be South Dakota's turn to have it...nuthin' but flat open land suitable for.....RUNWAYS! :supz:

Yeah John, you're right, there really isn't anything for trees in North Dakota. I guess I was being generous by classing it in our northern tier of states that DO have trees such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Monta...., wait a second, I think EVERY other state on the northern border except North Dakota has trees! But of course that means that N.D. has more than it's share of wind though too.

Oh well, the wind doesn't seem to affect the fabulous Warbird work that comes out of that state. :D

Long live the Redtail!

Steve

A quick search of WD4 I came up with the following list
Robert Odegaard has these listed:
2- F4U-4's Bu81164 and Bu81857 they are to be restored as Unruly Julie
1- F2G Bu88457 Racer "57"
1- F2G Bu88463 Held awaiting restoration funds for the Crawford Museum
FG-1D Bu76628 used to be Owned by Mr Odegaard as well
Gerry Beck
2 F4U-4's Bu97320 (Very Complete project) and Bu97388 (Airwothy)
Tim Mcphearson
F4U-4 Bu 97288 restoration project.
Quite a list for a state with a population of less than a Million people...
