The Thin Red Line in my books, was the worst movie I ever seen in my life.

They need to make a movie maybe about Midway or about Japan starting to invade Alaska.

Here's hoping a movie involving Wake Island has scenes of Brits and Commonwealth airmen flying F4Fs and shooting down lots of Japanese.

It'd be a great example of "Pinewood's Revenge"

Cheers,
Matt

What ever happened to that rumor that Spielberg was going to do a "Saving Private Ryan" type of film about the B-25 squadron his father flew in? Is that project just hype, or is really going to happen?

Something very similar to this has been under "development" for some time. Unfortunately I can so no more than it is coming...

Not to say it couldn't be loaned out for flying sequences if the right $ were offered, I suppose.

And as for CGI, I've yet to see any flying sequences that are convincing, as JDK says.

I have to go with Mike and JDK as far as the CGI flying stuff. I am not a fan. I'd rather see the real stuff in the air, but I have seen the fake P-40's that were built for Pearl Harbor, adn for backdrop, they looked pretty good.

Here is our P-40 mock-up that was from "Pearl Harbor." It certainly isn't the best mock-up I have ever seen but it served the purpose at a distance. One of the better that I have seen were the plywood Spitfires that were built for the "Battle of Britain" they were really nice quality although the darn tail wheel was weak on the one that we had and we had to rebuild it several times.
