Great Looking B-25

I have pics of the WRIGHT plaques for both engines. Is there a way to tell where they came from and when this bird was really "created"? And who it really was?

THANK YOU, Blue! I KNEW my memory was'nt that bad and that I'd read this plane's history right in front of it while it was on display!!

Having spoken with owner Jim Terry at some length, I think he is aware of some of the shortcomings of the history of the airplane on the website and maybe even the display sign. I also think that he and his volunteers are working very hard and spending lots of money just to keep the airplane in the air. I would hope that during the winter off season some changes and corrections will be made to the display material.

Mark, I was under the same impression that this was an aircraft that flew and took part in some combat.

There was no doubt that the volunteers are working very hard, and they are doing what they can.
Never-the-less, when I asked one of the volunteers about the history, I was referred to the sign by the front wheel.
That sign… on a quick review tends to imply that this aircraft took part in the war.
I didn't even really read the entire sign until this thread came up. “After the war years…” I just quit reading.
The first paragraph tends to imply that this aircraft is genuine.
Lesson for me… read the entire sign.

Aircraft usually don't maintain the same engines throughout their lifetime in the way that automobiles frequently do.

Whatever the controversy about their sign, they are a great crew, and were fantastic down here at the Doolittle Raiders Reunion in April. Great crew, good guys to talk with, and they were definitely good for the general public. Here's a link to some of the video I shot on my ride with them:
