That is very sad indeed. He was a really cool guy to talk to. I met him at Oshkosh.

Gentleman, this information appears to have come from an email that was premature. I think we should wait until we have official confirmation from Tex's family. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers should be with Tex and his loved ones.

An American Legend.
As history goes: He was the right man in the right place at the right time.
Condolences to family and friends.

Contrary to what was reported in the paper and elsewhere, General Hill was in the hospital due to taking a little spill while getting out of bed or as Tex would put it "he spun in". Due to family request the 8th Battalion Flying Tigers has had several officers spend time with the Hills over the last couple months. Mazie says that Tex's spirits go up ten fold when he hangs out with his fellow Warfighters. One of our officers got word last night from the family that Tex left the hospital and is back home resting.

I just checked with someone at his side (1735 central) and he's resting with family and friends. It's not looking good, but it's not over either.

Scott, unless I misunderstand the other relevant threads concerning Tex, he has not gone west at all and I can't believe this thread has been left up. Surely we can't be so insensitive as to leave it here for the family to come across?
