I'm going with "Submarine"

Actually, I have no clue.

After seeing how big Mr. Downings Skyraider is, I wouldn't be surprised if the photo was taken inside an AD-5!

With the narrow oval shape of the fuselage, maybe Hudson or Loadstar?

I was thinking Beech, but looking at the picture the cabin has too much headroom. Maybe a C-60?

It isn't an AT-7. I am thinking Lockheed AT-18A Navigation trainer.

This photo appears in 'The Official Pictorial History of the Army Air Forces' and they agree with you...

Fade to Black...

Cool.

I have been scanning some slides on my new scanner...I have a box of slides that I rescued from the trash in my high school ROTC class.

It says on the box "The Air War in WWII, a pictorial essay"

This navigator photo is one of them. I have no labels on the slides so I'm more clueless than normal...

Thanks

Hey Ztex,

How about posting other shots from your WWII pictorial essay.

Thanks,
Taigh
