I posted this link in another thread but it was kind of overlooked. Click on the link. If the pictures don't come up, type in Kee Bird in the search block. Lot's of good pictures (several pages worth) from the recovery attempt...

Thanks for the link. Awesome pics. Too bad the outcome was so bad.
These photos are a good addition to the TV video special that still makes the rounds now and then, as you can spend time looking at them while the video was always moving.
Again thanks.

I've seen many of the pix in a book I got about 8 or 10 years ago from MBC. I gave it to a friend for a gift but wish I'd kept it now. It was about half recovery effort and about half background on the people involved and how they came to know each other. I liked that better than the main story 'cause I knew how it was gonna turn out.
One thing about it, the author, who I cant' recall, eventually takes sides between the main participants in it and was pretty persuasive for me too, maybe wrongly so. I'll contact D. and see if he still has it and get the title and author.

Below is a link to the only book I'm familiar with that deals with the Kee Bird recovery attempt. Are there others? There were some great pictures taken up there. It would be nice to see them captured in a larger format, color book...

APG85, I believe thats it! Besides the main story, the Kee Bird, it diverges into some of Gary Larkins' activities after he parted company with Greenamyer. (sp.?)
