Not true. The ditched remains of Hadley's Harem were discovered a number of years ago, and much of the cockpit was retrieved and is now on display in a Turkish museum.

Really! Very cool that something survived .

I'm reading Mike Hill's "Black Sunday: Ploesti" right now, and I was thinking that there oughta be some remnants of those aircraft still lying around Ploesti.

I wonder which plane someone was selling pieces of?

I am not sure. I remember seeing the plaques with small pieces of sheet metal.
