Scott, unless I misunderstand the other relevant threads concerning Tex, he has not gone west at all and I can't believe this thread has been left up. Surely we can't be so insensitive as to leave it here for the family to come across?

I agree. Tex Hill and his family are personal friends and this is highly offensive. This thread should be pulled out of respect. I am not looking forward to the phone call to inform me of his passing.

A thread someone wrote in which they lament the passing of someone they all respect is "highly offensive"?

Seriously?

Alive or dead, I'm having a really tough time wrapping my mind around that idea.

Personally, I think it's a credit to Tex that so many people are concerned for his well being and expressed such thoughts about him when they were under the impression he had passed.

Brother, if that's "highly offensive" to you...

My apologies, it is early, and when I woke up and saw this topic at the top again my heart skipped a beat. I should have used other words, or added it is "highly offensive" that this thread has been up for 8 days now and the subject line has not been at least edited. I do appreciate John Lane for taking the time to post what he thought was correct information and all that responded with condolences. Yes, many of his closest friends do read this forum. It IS great that so many are concerned for Tex, just goes to show how much he means to the Warbird community and all that have met him, a TRUE HERO to many.

he makes a valid point, after receiving numerous replies to this thread my heart sinks everytime i read them. if the man is still with us then this thread should be pulled, it's the responsible & respectable thing to do.

I think he might get a kick out of it?

Mark Twain Quotes. The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated
