Ford commercial C-123?

Sun Oct 14, 2007 12:02 am

Who owns the C-123 in the Ford commercial. It looks like a nice airplane but I don't remember seeing it in any airshow pics. Is it the same one from the movie "Con Air?"

The C-123 that was used in Con-Air was N709RR owned by Al Redick in Reno, it was sold about 2 years back, not sure if it is the same plane or not!

N709RR (Jailbird) was in a very sad state of abandonment at the Wendover, UT airport, when I saw it in May of this year.

I could e-mail photos, if someone is interested and PM's me with their address.

Saludos,

Tulio, what you saw was actually not the real N709RR but a movie "stand in". Click on the link:

The real N709RR is seen here last year in Alaska:

I wonder if it could be this one
C-123K 54-0615 [N546S] James Blumenthal, Kingman, Arizona
He was involved with another Ford commercial
