But, OH the possibilities once ya got the trivial little things like taxiing and taking off out of the way!

I tried to talk Bill's son into doing a little target practice with the Spit, once he gets it armed with functioning guns and cannon...no luck yet :( Once we get your Eagle fitted with the MOAB, maybe you could come in over my ex's place for one last pass and give her that MOAB...with my blessings 8)

LOVE the picture here of the Eagle loaded up for bear! Fly safe son :)

Very true, but if he's a C17 loadmaster, his plane doesn't drop MOAB...

...now if Brad were a Talon loadmaster...

Actually Ernie...yes my plane does...you might be surprised what we do with the C-17...and I didn't say I dropped it, I said I had a picture of it loaded in the back. And notice that I did say that it rigs like a -82...how do I know that? I have a couple thousand hours in Herks. I'm not new to this airdrop world.

And no, HGUCSU, I'm not talking about Eglin. Without Navigators, I spend lots of time looking at the box so I know exactly where I was. Notice again that I didn't say I dropped it in combat. I never said it was dropped by anybody in combat. I said I carried it over there. Hacker saw it, I've got pictures of it somewhere, and I loaded it in the states and unloaded it over there. Once again, I'm not new to this.

No, Brad, your plane doesn't drop them. It could, but it doesn't. AMC doesn't have access to them, JFAC would never have it dropped, & AMC would never let the C17 go where it would need to be dropped. But yes, the C17 (or C5 or C141 or any aircraft that can drop heavy equipment) could drop it, but they don't & won't - not even SOLL C-17. (but never say never either :D )

And yes, I know much about C17 capabilties. C17 is limited primarily by AMC leadership & lack of vision. C17 is a tremendously capable plane that, currently, is not used as effectively as it could/should be - leadership issue, not crewdog issues! :x

No, you didn't - someone else implied it.

And you might be a former Talon LM for all I know, but if not, no slick Herk has dropped BLU-82/B since Viet Nam (and even those were rare). Many of the reasons are similar/same as why C17 doesn't & won't.

I believe you because I know where they were (although I was somewhere else & never saw them, only BLUs). :D

I'm sorry I drug this entire thread O/T  ...can we get back to hot chicks & airplanes please? :D :D

No, not stored. They were brought over for possible use. When that possibility ended, they went back into stateside storage.

Pretty sure BLU-82 were not dropped in GW2 - they were dropped in Afghanistan and, of course, GW1.[/quote]

Only MC-130E/H dropped BLU-82, not C-130E/H/J slicks...not their mission. Only spec-ops C-130s drop 'em...slicks are capable of dropping them, but don't. See above reference to AMC leadership.

Hmmm...no more chicks with planes?

Images of John Belushi from Animal House went through my mind. The coke I was drinking shot out my nose because I started laughing so hard!
