The Cat Flight is the best yet, I'd like to see that. Other than that, I'd like to see some bombers, get the flying B-17's or B-25's, escorted by about 8 P-51's. That's totally doable. You could also get some TBM's escorted by the few Hellcats and Wildcats left, also doable.

It looks like the F-14 won't participate an any cat flights before too long. The Navy wants to phase it out and replace it with the Super Hornet, which has all the advantages of being able to carry half the weapons a little bit more than half the distance.

Does anyone know the last time an F9F flew?

There was a complete F9F project for sale last year, Aerocrafters or Aerotraders, forgot, I do remember the name, Steve Pennington, I guess he owns the place, and I've seen some of their restorations on the internet. I'll look it up. That was a complete F9F. I hope someone restores it. It looked nice even in pieces.

Are you telling me that Cavanaugh Flight Museum doesn't fly their Panther anymore??? That would be terrible! Gorgeous airplane.

Rob, I swear at least half of your posts give me high blood pressure. If you actually come up with that photo of a surviving SC-1 Seahawk at Pensacola my heart doesn't stand a chance.

Now where did I put that outdated medication...

Dan, You're the man....man. I was thinking I was one of the only people on the face of the earth who like liked the SC-1/2. There's gotta be one laying around somewhere waiting for us to show up and make it right.

Don't forget engaging targets at half the range, big selling point there

I'd like to see all three Super Corsairs flying together just once! :D

It could be a very realistic possibility if all of the associated parties wanted it bad enough. Of course it will never happen, but it's an excellent sight to imagine.

We all know THIS WILL NEVER happen, but what the hey! I'd like To see a Squadron of B-36s being escorted by a flight each of F-80s, F-84s, F-86s and F-89s. I don't think thats asking for too much, as long as we're dreaming!
