Commercial Single Engine Land, Tailwheel. Owning a 1948 C-140 since 3 years. Flew 150, 172, PA-28, back seat SNJ, front seat Stearman, right seat Navajo, C-185 on floats and Elio Courrier 800 on amphibs.

Love it all, would fly anything offered, of course.

Top fantasy flight: Spitfire or P-51D 8)

Dream rating: Anything with a big radial (or two) and a tailwheel

I had a Vertibird, those things are a pain to fly!!!

I've flown a Bonanza V tail and a few Cessna's w/ friends. No "formal" training (yet). Most thrilling ride so far was back seat on a VW powered ultralight. Whew.

I was an ATC Radar tech in the AF, so I've gotten to fly on lots of neat stuff. One of my best friends from that time is now flying B-1s, and he promised me a ride sometime. If he comes through, I'll post pics.

:D

My cousin Tom was on his 2nd tour in VN flying CH-46s and sent that to me for X-Mas 8) I'm thinking 1969 or so.

PPSEL, Complex, HP - Not enough time and no money to go further...yet.

"Coolest" thing I've been behind the controls of so far - the plane in the picture. Didn't get to fly, but got to do engine runs on it one day because only one mechanic (also an ATP, but that's another story) was working and there had to be 2 people in the cockpit to do the runs out by the runway. Definitely a great experience. Got to sit in the right seat for a 580 engine run, but I still like radials better even if the 580's a rocketship.

I'm hoping to drop a little weight and save up some money to get my tailwheel, instrument, and commercial, but right now, I'm having plenty of fun when I get to go out and volunteer at the museums at LNC as it is. :)

I re-read my post and realized that it could be interpreted wrong. I mean it sincerely, when I can afford it (both time and money) I want to add a Fighter and get my ATP and CFI.

Lesson- Doesn't matter what you have, if you forget how to dream, you ain't gettin any more. :D

Oh, and I want to get Vertibird qualified.

Eric,
Here's one on ebay but I doubt it's had all the required safety mods. I had one of these as a kid but my parents took it away after my sister's pet hamster wondered into the landing zone one day. Bad day at the Stix household, you can imagine the mess. I was not trying to hit the darn thing, honest.

I want the AH version. Old habits die hard.

SEL I'm proud to say. All pilots, regardless of rating, we are all very lucky to enjoy the sky as only we can...

well B747 Cpt, which pays the bills, Royal Flight Middle east,
but single seat Pitts for fun as much as possible, and a Caravan on floats a few times per week keeps me interested in real airplanes.
Oh, and constantly dreaming about some warbird or another!

Private, not current. The only thing I fly these days is a desk.

Since this isn't an acceptable situration, I have set myself a goal to get current, get my taildragger certification, and solo a Harvard by the time I'm fourty. That gives me 5 years, so I guess I better get moving...

I also forgot to mention that I have the little known ratings of wingless 2 wheel land, and the wingless sea hull.....haven't logged much flying time on them since I broke my femur though..........

Private Pilot, SEL, SES, MEL, MES, B-25, G-73, and some Fighters. 1200 hrs, nearly all of it tailwheel. Happy to say only 2 hrs in a single engine Cessna! (BFR's)
