I think we have named almost every Curtiss ever built. http://californianavalaviation.homestea ... lyson.html
This link shows the airplane in picture 3 but it is not clear as to what type of Curtiss that it is. Great quiz I can't wait to see the correct answers!

PS Did anyone say F-Boat yet?

yeah Turbo that was a frustrating one. We were hitting all around the right answers. I was printing out the pictures, enlarging them, and photoshopping them to bring out details and the best I could come up with were some near misses but I'm ready for the next one, bring it on.

Same here, I was PS'ing the pics also, just trying to get that last minute clue that only Mr Rohr knew of !

Trouble was Naval Aviation in that period was still in it's infancy and they had a lots of similar but different aircraft while they were finding their feet so to speak.
All this adds up to darn hard quizzes by Col Rohr !!!! :o

Cheers
Chris

Rob, I never realised you were such a sadist. good thing is we all seem to love that side of you as far as the quiz's are concerned.

I think I've learnt more about US naval aviation from these quiz's than I had in years.
