Taiwan's T-28?

Does anyone know where I can find more information on the AIDC T-CH-1? There is a small entry in one of my encyclopeida type books that indicates it is an indeginous desgin that resembles the T-28. To me, it looks like it more than resembles the T-28. The main gear doors, tail, and canopy look identical to the T-28, it even uses the same airfoil, all of the dimensions are within a few inches of the T-28. Is the T-CH-1 actually a license built T-28 with a Lycoming T-53?

North American built three YAT-28E's for the Air Force as a COIN aircraft. The YAT-28E had a Lycoming T-55, revised canopy, and a revised tail. The photos I have seen of the YAT-28E actually look further from the stock T-28B/C than the T-CH-1 does.
The first YAT-28E was lost along with its pilot in a testing accident. The other two were put into storage. One eventually made it into civilian hands as N2800E, anyone know what has become of it?
I'll check out the NA Trainer site and see if I can dig up som more on the T-CH-1.

For what it's worth, all the T-55 engines and associated gearboxes from the YAT-38E program ended up with the original 1971 Piper Enforcer program, on lease from the Air Force.

YAT-28 Surviving Airframes

I found out today that my friend has BOTH surviving airframes.One more complete than the other.The plane looks very different with turboprop nose and is quite attractive.I saw them both at his facility on the day we flew off to the Reno Airraces.I forgot about the second fuselage..
