necause I only like prop driven aircraft? Jets just sort of bore me (unless you go way back to the Me 262 and Korean War vintage aircraft...Then they were edgy and new. To me jets just don't have the beauty of a well crafted prop driven warbird.

Well if you are bad then so am I. It's good to be bad.

I will however admit that I have a thing for A-10's.

Does that make me worse than bad?

When my son was about 12 yrs. old he ask me if they had jets when I was growing up?

When ask why, he said all my pictures had props.

I do like jets though - I just found them to be VERY thirsty.

Sounds like we're in the same club. I like the sign the Collings Foundation has in the B-24: "Jets Are For Kids!"

The only jets that get me excited were the A-12/SR-71 and the F-105 Thud. Otherwise it needs props and pistons.

With apologies to all you inline/V-12 folks, ain't nothin' like the sound of a round engine goin' by, on the ground or in the air. Makes you turn and look....Jets, weeellll, they just kinda whistle, whine, and mebbee roar - mebbee.
