Two T-6 questions (maybe easy, maybe not)

First: Having seen the documentary "Top Guns of '43", I noticed that the Navy was using SNJs for carrier training on the Wolverine and Sable. Does anyone know how many SNJs were lost in Lake Michigan?
Second: I was visiting Mexico City in December of '85 and saw a TV commercial for Teem soda which had a desert scene with a polished metal T-6 with "AN-" (Nicaraguan) registration. Any ID on this one?

Of course, I figured the NHC to be disinterested in recovering SNJs (and equally disinterested in letting anyone else recover them) but since they're relatively plentiful, it may be a moot point...

Glad to hear it - I hope one gets displayed at the former NAS Glenview; I grew up a mile from the base and acquired an interest in VR-51's C-118s, especially when one buzzed my gym class! Also got photos of the first plane they pulled out of the lake, a TBF-1, around 1980.

P.S. My house got broken into Sunday night and my computer was stolen, so it's back to the cybercafe. Will try to stay current; I really love this forum!
