2nd P-51 to fly in The Netherlands

Sat Dec 18, 2004 10:29 am

According to their website the Early Birds Foundation has started the re-assembly of their P-51D at Lelystad in The Netherlands. They expect the re-assembly to take a couple of months and have the aircraft flying sometime in 2005. The aircraft is 44-74923/N6495. A registration PH-PLI has recently been reserved for a P-51. I have no confirmation that this reservation is linked to the abovementioned aircraft but assume this is the case as reservations for P-51's are not that common in The Netherlands.
