Wreck hunting

Well Rob,

With three major wrecks near me in the Bay Area (two DC-s and a Connie), we've seen silverware, intact dishes, and instrument placards. In the Sierras, there's a B-17 wreck, and what I found most amazing, was that the old meatball star on the vertical stabilizer still looked new. It was of course face down when we looked at it, and we layed it back down the same way..........Roger from Kaleefornia

Well I had the opportunity to join the Norwegian Museum in Bodö a couple of years ago, visiting a crashsite where 5 Ju 88 had crashed on the mountains side in fog.

There was plenty of stuff to carry away. Parts which now is used in both the German and Norwegian restorations.

If someone tells me how I can upload photos I could show some.

So here we were minding our own business looking for an old abandoned mine and we run across some old military goods. No we were not on an impact area but there was one over the ridge. How could you shoot over 2 miles outside the range??

I have found, a Hudson fuselage in a junkyard, the remains of other one, Grumman Goose in a lake, aeronca C-3 fuselage and helped to recover a wing and center section of a hurricane Bw854
