The date is not set in stone yet but it looks like I will be selling my current house in NY on Oct 15th.

Kelly and I are heading down to the Nashville area this week to look once again at houses and help one of the friends / band members move down.

I have to say that there is a small part of me that will miss living in NYS, I can't say I will miss the taxes and toll roads. :x

Like I said before, check out the White's Creek area - beautiful rolling countryside, reasonable prices and only nine miles from downtown. Freeway accessible (but not intrusively so), and see if that old brick schoolhouse is available yet - the gym would make a great workshop/rehearsal space!

Well after a few months of getting d--ked around by a couple "wanting" to buy our house the deal died last Monday. It hurt but at least we could start over and look for someone ready to buy a house.

Saturday we had our first 2 showings on the house in a few months and that first couple put in a great bid on the house. The inspections are going to happen this week and we hope to close by the end of January. So it looks like we’ll be heading south in a bit over 1 month.

Man, I’m so ready to get the heck out of this state!

Edit:
Geneseo is already on my trip plans for this summer. I was getting worried I would not have time to brew up some Tailhook Ale for the event. But it looks like I'll have enough time to get a few cases of beer made.

Well, I have good news

We will be moving Tuesday to the Nashville area. :!: :!:

Sunday we pack the truck, Monday we clean the house, Tuesday we hand the keys over to the new owners and start to drive south.

Thursday we should close on our new house in Spring Hill. Man, it is a good feeling to have all this coming together.

I feel like a zombie at this point, but there are some brains in site at the end of the tunnel. That should keep me going.

Enjoy your new place! You will be only about an hour north of the Jack Daniel distillery, you will need to check it out.

The 26' moving truck is full and we are ready to head south tomorrow after we handover the keys to the new owers. Kelly and I are very excited to start a new chapter in our lives. I'm not very excited to drive the truck down to Nashville but I'm ready! Oh so ready to get out of NY.

Man, I feel like I'm the walking dead at this point.

Kelly and I made it safe and sound down to TN this week. We are in our new home and getting unpacked. Our dog Taluse was having panic attacks all week but seems to be getting better, I think he was afraid we'd leave him behind. Well, I guess I should get back to work.

Good news! I hope it wasn't a "Grapes of Wrath" type trip for you.
