It is already in California, in the hangar in Chino. I just washed it this morning, and changed the spark plugs, and oil.

Thats cool. I still haven't seen that bird. From the stuff I usually see involing Marines Dream, I got the impression that it's in Michigan or Pennsylvania most of the time. I gotta get down to Chino one of these decades.

Just a little farther north. She'll like it. The weather isn't so hot. Lots of flying days. Come here Marines Dream, you'll like LVK, it's where you belong, Here Corsair,Corsair,Corsair...

Marine's Dream was restored and is normally based at Chino, no? Appears to me that, rather than coming to Chino, it may very well be leaving.

It has been for sale at Courtesy Aircraft for some time. Today it showed up as a pending sale on their website. The airplane was restored and is normally based at CNO (Chino), but the last few years it has been in the Cincinnatti area during the summer and fall as Mint has been marketing it to airshows for the owner.

I think O.P. saw the Courtesy website listing today and is hopeful it will come up to Livermore ;)

Clear as mud :?:

I don't know anything that isn't public now. I don't know where it's going.

This thread is just me wishing and trying to use psychic powers and good lotto numbers and prayers to jebus, anything, almost anything, to hopefully see the plane go a few hundred miles north of where it is now. Probably won't work, buuuuttt, you never know until you try.

O.P., you been slipping? Marines Dream visited the Wings Over Wine Country show at Santa Rosa back in Aug. 2000. From there it was at the Reno Air Races in September 2001. It later made a visit to the Doolittle Reunion at Fresno in May of 2001. All within reasonable driving distance from our area..............Roger

Hi Roger!

Maannnn....Oh well,,,,I seriously don't get out much. I gotta finish the PPL so getting out and about isn't an issue. It should have come to Moffett. All warbirds should come to the Moffett airshow. That way I can walk over and see them. Not coming to Moffett, is, just, well, barbaric.

Well,,,,I gotta go back and burn some incense, hop around on one foot on a pentagram, drink a bunch of ceremonial beer, smoke a bunch of ceremonial marlboros, watch ceremonial Baa Baa Blacksheep. I feel good about this, the planets might be lining up, who knows. MD to LVK OR BUST!

the Moffett show is nothing like it used to be. before it was halted in the early 90's, it was a fantastic show - LOTS of warbirds :)
Nothing like the good ole days (darn I feel old!)

Noooooo..say it isn't so..You've become one of them, a a Cal, cal, cal californiaaannnnn..

While run by the Umbrella Group, Moffett will never have a good showing of warbirds. The civilian planes that are on display there, are by invite only, thus you only see a handful. A friend of mine asked if he could bring his award winning T-34 in, and was turned down. As Cindy said, the good 'ole Moffett shows are a thing of the past...............Roger

Thanks for that list Roger...I thought I had seen it at Fresno...I have pictures stored away somewhere. That's the only show I caught it at due to living on a ship. I did see it when it was being built.
