F-5Gs on the FAA registry

I was looking at the FAA registry when I found these:

F-5G S/n 8030 N70005 Flamingo Arcft Inc, Jacksonville, FL
F-5G S/n 5266 N91300 May, Don M; Phoenix, AZ

Any info? Are there any more P-38s NOT listed on the registry.

FAA database says this one is C/N 7700:

Which is correct? Does this aircraft actually exist?

There are certainly plenty of extra entries for aircraft never de-registered in the FAA database.

Actually, the FAA registry lists Mr. Moody's aircraft as well as those two.

The P-38/F-5 crashed after takeoff from Phoenix Skyharbor Airport in the mid to early 60's. Appears he lost an engine on takeoff and rolled into the Salt River, dry river bed. All of the wreckage was sold to a local scrapper years ago and smelted, I followed it up with the scrapper! Hope this helps. John

Somehow he managed to keep that incident out of the NTSB's hands- it isn't in their database! Must not have been any serious injury.

How is the "former" San Marcos 5-place P-38 comin along?...Anyone
know? Who got her..and how is her repair/resto coming along. Will she
retain the "piggy-back" cockpit arrangement?

The plane was traded from the CAF along with the P-82 for a flying P-38. The AF Museum didnt like like that and took the parties involved to court. The P-38 is stripped down to parts and will never exist as its former self. And, it was a 3 person P-38 while restored by the CAF.

Regardless, it is unfortunate that we have "lost" a 2-place P-38. I wanna
ride!

Seem to remember that this accident happened before the NTSB came into play. This would have been under the auspices of the CAB, I think!

NTSB has records on their database from January 1962 and onwards.

There was a story about this plane in Warbirds International some years ago, including its fate. Written by Kevin Grantham if I'm not mistaken. Wonder if the plane went down in 1960 or thereabout.

As for Mrs. Moody and N1208N I gave Kevin some info regarding the relatives of this lady (she passed away around 98-99), and after some research he concluded that the plane was gone. He even made a post on the old WIX board regarding this. There was apparently someone making inquiries to the lady about the plane which was supposedly long gone. She got suspicious about its fate and reregd. the plane in case this person tried to reg it as his own.
