Hi guys,

well our non-profit association has this little crazy project of making a Grumman Mohawk OV-1D to fly in Europe. I'm saying « crazy » 'cause being so far away from the basket ain't helping in maintenance: spares must be shipped from the US (customs clearance, high import taxes, delivery delays, ...) and specific mechanics knowledge not so common over here.

We're in touch with a bunch of guys (Ed, Stan, Denny, Paul, ...) knowing the Mohawk like their own pocket, but I would like as much feedback as possible.

The following would help us a lot:

- Could someone e-mail me a pdf copy of the POM, checklist, maintenance manuals, ...?

- Are they any specific maintenance squawks? Any recurent problem coming back all the time (I heared a lot about the electrical system)?

- Is it tricky to fly?

We found the one to buy, the insurance (not so easy over here), some spares providers, and we still have to make our final mind on whether buy or not because of the possible maintenance nightmare. Your comments?

Phil
