Looks like alot like a picture that I have on the same flight in Northen Texas around the Dallas /Fort Worth Area early 1945 .
Sad that not one whole B-32 is left in tack today
If I am correct their is a Ball Turrent in the CAF DFW hanger , a Wing in Cal and a few other parts here and thier. dose anybody know of who and where all the known B-32 parts might be ?

There's 4 ball turrets left -

1 in Arizona with a private individual (link on my B-32 Turret thread) was NOS and complete when found.
1 at NASM Garber Facility restored.
1 at NMUSAF unrestored and not on display (at least it wasn't last year when I was there)
1 at the DFW Wing currently undergoing restoration.

I believe the gentleman in Arizona may have some additional parts as well.

Montgomery Park in Chula Vista, CA. near San Diego. I lived across the street from that wing for a while in the late 60's as a kid (I lived in one of the houses in the foreground of the attached picture). I always thought it was either a B-24 or B-25 wing. It's a memorial to glider pioneer John Montgomery. Wikipedia says it's a B-32 wing. Here's a link with to a page with info and pictures.

I've read that there are more like 6-7 in various states of repair out there. There is one in Minnesota that is as close to complete as one can be.

Are are they all A-17 Ball Turrets? I've done quite a few searches and we asked the other people with them, and we've not come up with any additional Sperry A-17 turrets. If you can give more information, it would help us because one of the others may have manuals or extra parts.

Quick question, hope it's not a stupid one... are the Privateer and B-32 tails the same? They both look about the same shape, and both are hugely tall. Just curious.
