I've noticed that not very many folks have been sending their pictures to Scott for the gallery. It'd be nice to see that updated. Also a suggestion, people talk a lot about their projects and aircraft. I think it would be cool to have another gallery showing WIX member's aircraft, projects or a specific warbird they're involved in. I don't mean like Nine-o-Nine which everyone knows but other maybe lesser known aircraft. It would be interesting to know how many aircraft WIXers are actually involved in and to see some of these projects we always hear about??!!??!!

As an aside..we will be starting a 'readers' aircraft page from the next edition of 'Classic Wings' so if anyone has a project and wants it 'exposed' they can contact me after writing a paragraph (50-150 words) and an accompanying HIGH res. photo or two....

PM me for my email address

Dave

O.K. Brandon, what's the scoop on the photo of the crashed P-40 in "Part 3"? There's something strange looking about that prop, is this a replica?

Great job on your "Six" man! Excellent work!

Steve

So did you steal one of the 1941 props and leav it out on the side of the hill just to some fun with wreck hunters in SoCal.
Man! You guys are busybodies. You didn't even give me a chance to mention it yet... I guess that rust never sleeps!

Why don't you guys tell me?

I took this photo in about 1982 from the right seat of my friend's Cessna 140 (in flight). What is it, and where is it?

Sounds like a good deal - however, a little bird told me that updating the majority of the site is done by one person  That can add up to a TON of work.

I'm headed up the Hill AFB museum next week and will get a bunch of photos that I intend to send to Scott - if anyone has any specific requests of planes they'd like to see let me know and I'll be sure to get shots for you.

With the updating, I'd volunteer to help, but I have no coding/WYSIWYG experience to draw on. Maybe this is an area someone could lend a hand in?

OK everyone - just came back from Hill AFB museum - wow, I never really noticed how the arrangment of the aircraft really makes it difficult to get a decent photo of the planes. They have the aircraft placed nose to derriere. Some of the planes, P-80 and F-18, are practically touching. But they are inside and well restored/protected.

Now all I have to do is download the photos and post them.
