Does anyone remember the date when the F-100 shot down the B-52 over New Mexico?

Thanks guys for the info on this tragic incident. I've also been chasing a story of a B-17 lost near Logan, NM. Can't seem to find any info on this a/c.

Gary,

Rob Hill (a really nice guy) in Rio Rancho, NM has files on many U.S. crash sites, he has visited and phographed the remains, and has extensive data on each one of them; I have personally seen the file on that particular B-52, as well as others on B-36, B-17, etc.

FYI,
The June, 1962 edition of RAF Flying Review has a great account of the shootdown, written by none other than Walt Boyne.
Regards,
Hugh
