Okay, once again I am looking into create WIX patches, I found a company that will make them and a reasonable cost and I'm looking into other sources as well. More importantly I have managed to secure funding for the initial cost of these patches.

Now the real questions:

What size should it be? 2, 3, 4, or five in diameter?

- I'm thinking of either 3.5 or 4 inches would be a reasonable size.

Should I date the patch by putting 2005 somewhere?

As it stands right now the selling price will be $5 each, I doubt shipping & handiling will be much and if it is low enough I will include it in the price but I don't want to commit to that yet.

I'm looking to place the order by the end of the month as to have time to ship them to those who want them so make your opinions known.

Very soon I'm going to take some suggestions as to what should be brought at Geneseo. So start thinking about what type of beer you'd like to drink at there.

I need to make sure I have the proper time to make it. If you want a Barley wine you will need to wait for 2006, it need the age being over 10%.

I'm up for anything on the patch, so long as it has a place where you can have added something like,

"1000 Posts downtown" or something of that nature.

One please, Scott, do you have a design in mind? If not I'd be willing to give it a go.

Personally I would start off with something generic with no date and see how well you do. That way you don't get stuck with a bunch of '05 patches when it's time to make patches for '06.

Test drive first and date later.

This is the design right now but if you want to submit a different design then feel free and I'll put it up for a vote, that goes for anybody else artisitic as well.

Good point, I think I will alter the colors slightly on a second batch making the first batch unique and in 20 years when all 25,000 WIXers I can dream :) decend on Las Vegas you'll be able to tell the oldtimers by the different color for the first patch. :)

Maybe a spot that we could add our screen names instead of the year. Just an idea.

Scott,

Five inches is a bit big, 3.5-4" should work, that's the average size for a patch. Leave a date off of it, or have a minimum made for those desiring a date, so you don't get burned at the end of the year.

And I too would like to see a P-51/P-47/P-38/ or Corsair, no offense on the other side of the Atlantic, no Spitfire. With a US based website, and P-51's flown in all the allied countries during or shortly after WWII, at one time or another, how about the P-51?

Just my 5 cents worth.........
