Do those models actually sound like that? That was incredibly realistic. Did you hear the whistle of the P-47 in the dive? Wow. I wonder what scale those were. They must have been pretty big.

Now you know, as long as we've been friends, I've never been a troublemaker...BUT
Somebody's gonna' have to prove to me that the sound wasn't dubbed. I have NEVER seen or heard (no pun intended) a model airplane engine that can sound like that, regardless of the scale.

Anyone?...Bueller?...Anyone?

The sound is dubbed for sure, all of the P-47 flying sounds are of a merlin on a mustang. :roll:

I'm sure it is dubbed and also appears to be slowed down to give a more accurately scaled speed.

Yes, dubbed. The B-17 flyby's and first Lib flyby are lifted directly from the movie "Memphis Belle" from the take off scene. :roll:
