Fleet Fort Survivors

Does anyone know just how many Fleet Forts survive. I know the CWH has a flyer and a static bird, and the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum has a static bird, but are there any other survivors? Any with private owners?

Hi Jim. I'm pretty sure Harry Whereatt of Assineboia, Sakatchewan has (or had) a pretty substantial amount of airframe for one. I think Aeroplane had an article on his place that showed a picture of it a few years ago, along with, as I recall, the Hurricane, 'his and her' Lysanders, Harvard, Bolingbroke, etc. Can anyone else confirm if he still has it? I believe one of the Lysanders was sold on to someone else. Jim

Gentlemen,

Add the Western Canada Aviation Museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba has a Fleet Fort. They loaned their Fort to CWH to use the wing as a template to manufacture a new wing that CWH was missing on their aircraft.

I think the second static Fort at CWH is WCAM's airframe on loan to the CWH.
