Gang, Here's an interesting WW2 Magazine Cover showing famous WW2 P-40 Ace "Tommy Tomahawk" of the Redskin Raiders. An actual Pacific-Based P-40 Unit made up of Navajo Indians. They would wear complete Navajo Indian Tribal Costumes before each mission. War Paint, Feather Headress & everything!! They lived in Tee Pee's instead of barracks & tents & even rode Horses instead of Jeeps... Thier Tribal Indian Radio Chatter would confuse the Japanese, who could never translate it. Note the wild P-40 Prop Stripes, Etc. I'd like to see this Squadron proudly represented at the "Gathering of P-40's" Event this Summer:

The Crew Chiefs would install special Smoke Signal Generators for use during combat.
The Japanese Pilots were terrified of this Squadron, with good reason too!!
They would be scalped if captured...

This is all a Joke of course, I was just kidding. It's all based on a really cool dream I had last night. Would have been awesome if the "Redskin Raiders" were real though!! I'd still like to see the Unit Honored at the P-40 Gathering.
Ha! Ha! Real or not, I think the audience would like it too... Digger
