Neat stuff! When I was young, we had a sugar maple in our backyard that would leak sap in the spring. We would wipe it with our fingers and lick it off. I'm sure all the "Do Gooders" would say that is bad for your health now. Boy, was that good tasting. The local squirrel population would hang upside down from the branches and lick the sap too!
