Corsair II's Will we ever see em on the Air Show Circut ?

Greetings
I was wondering Will we ever see Corsair II on the Air Show Circut Or will they be doomed a simular fate as the F-14 Tomcats ? Or Have I been in a Coma and their are some being restored to flying in the Private sector.
As always thank you to every one that responds to me I always walk away knowing more than I did before .

I'd say there's actually a fair chance of seeing one in the future on at least a limited schedule.

I have not seen one in the Air since I was in High School back in the Late Seventys in Grand Prarie Texas at the Vought Aircraft Runway taking off . We can only hope that maybe some day it may happen .

Id go for an A-7 flying around, even would tolorate a Navy bird.

Loved the D model, and left much skin on the bird. Best little ground pounder in the VN war.

You know they were jerked out of service with both the Navy and ANG because of widespread wing cracks that were found across the fleet. Then of course you still have the whole DoD policy issue to deal with.

Rick, not to change the subject, but I was up at Perryville last week and saw 4 A-4J's in restoration, they had just received an engine from AeroTurbine for one of them.

DZ, that's Saberliner, right ? The engine was a J-65 ? Those aircraft would be the single seat A-4Ls that used to be part of the Malaysian drawdown stock that was out at Tucson. They are owned in a partnership of Bob Scneider and David Tallichet.

Malo83, you are correct about the USAF Thunderbirds, however these particular F-8s were acquired when the assets of Thunderbird Aviation in Arizona were auctioned off.

Not the USAF Thunderbirds, but a company of the same name that did contract flying as chase aircraft, testing stuff and such.

Tell me more about the status of the F-8's Paul Allen has! I'd give someone else's eye teeth to see those in the air again.
