CAF Hanger View 1984

Fri Mar 21, 2008 2:21 pm

This shot of the CAF hanger in Harlingen is interesting.

The lost: Carolyn, Spit N9BL, barely visible is the HE-111.
No longer flying: the Zero and the P-82
And the survivor: JU-52.

Zane,

What time of year was that photo taken? Ellen and I went to Airsho in '84 (our only one thus far :? ) and got to see the B-26 and P-82 in action.

It says January 1984 on the back.

Interesting and a tinge sad too - thanks for posting.

What's the story with the cropped prop on the Zero?

Thanks! Mark

I don't know that it is cropped...It may just look funny from that angle.

Here's another pic from that day.

That's interesting to see the nose art panels just hanging there.
