This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I need some help with some Civil Registration numbers. I’m renaming all my war bird pictures to reflect the Civ # verses the nose art so side numbers. A huge job but I want to get this done before I pass it on to Scott, he as enough to do without worrying about my several thousand picture (I’m not kidding).
By the way Scott the registry is an incredible tool and I can’t say enough good things about it! The search function works very well which is a great bonus, I’ve used too many that were useless.
Help #1 Yankee Air Force C-47D can anyone give me the C# ?
Help #2 Geneseo 1988 the P-51D “Obsession” was there, I see two P-51 marked as that. Can anyone tell me which it is? I think it was N651JM but the yellow on the Nose is different.

as to #2
it is N651JM in both cases - the nose had two different patterns of the yellow: one is the spinner and a narrow band behind it, and the other is the late-war yellow nose that covered almost the entire cowling.

Thanks for the quick responses.
I'm sure I will have several more very soon, If I don't get into to much trouble with my wife. She wasn't very excited about this project.

Here's an Invader at Tulsa International in July 72. I thought there was an Invader involved in a gear-up landing at Tulsa around this time, maybe a year or so earlier, but I don't know if it was this one. Anyone know what became N256H? EDIT: O K Found it in the registry
It's image 71 in the Aviation Odds and Ends Album

The C-45/Beech D18S in the Canadian markings belongs to the Canadian Warplane Heritage. The registration is C-GZCE, serial # A-156.
It is still owned by CWH and flown fairly frequently.

Thanks for the input, any N# would be much appreciated, and what they really are (i.e. RD4, C-47D…)

I added some more UFO's to the site. N# and proper model information would be great.
I plan to search some today; I assume several are in the Registry.

“The two C-47 are the NWH aircraft and MAAM aircraft”, what is NWH?
Thanks for all the help so far!
